Intensive "Crash" Driving Courses
Why take an Intensive Driving Course?

These popular courses are very flexible and are designed around your busy schedule. lots of people are keen to get their driving licence quickly so an intensive course is great if you are that type of person.

Intensive or semi intensive courses are designed to deliver a set of driving lessons over a very short period, it can enable you to pick up the essential skills and become proficient quicker, providing the syllabus and lots of experiential learning. It can be adapted to suit individual needs. The lessons can be arranged to be taken over one more weeks depending on your schedule.

The learning period is short, information will be retained and confidence will increase as you progress. Your instructor will be able to monitor your progress daily, provide feedback and concentrate on weak areas in preparation for your driving test. Your instructor will be remain the same during the course for continuity. The average UK test candidate requires between 35 to 46 hours to complete the entire driving syllabus and achieve the driving test standard.

Intensive learning does not suit everyone, it is learning under pressure, so make sure you have an assessment lesson to help you make a decision. Approximately 30 or 40 hours is required for each course, just because you have taken and completed the course it doesn't mean a pass is automatic. as with any test it is then down to you to prove you are able to drive safely by passing the driving test. Always remember that once you qualify as a driver you will still lack experience, which is why the Pass Plus course is recommended to all newly qualified drivers.

Another obstacle is after an hour or 2, you may just switch off so we let you take 15 min breaks to recover you concentration. However for some people it can be effective so depends on you.

A theory test will need to be passed prior to commencement. A warm up lesson is needed prior to the test, these can be added to the course if needed.

More lessons can be added if you feel that more practice is needed. I just need you to be honest and speak up if you are not confident with some parts of the syllabus.

With an Intensive Driving Course (sometimes known as a ‘crash driving course’!) you can fit in the lessons in one block to suit you. Many of our customers fit the course around work, college or holidays. Some people find the idea of ‘getting it all over with in one go’ appealing; others need to learn quickly.
What does ‘Intensive Driving Lessons’ actually mean?

There is a great benefit to a pupil who undertakes more than 3 hours of driver training a day they develop the necessary driving skills and understanding needed at a greater pace leading to them becoming confident in a very short time period, this gives them the confident to sit the driving test with confidence.

We know that the best results are achieved when the pupil has a chance to digest the information and then put into practice what they have learnt. Therefore, we allow time for breaks on the crash driving course timetable
How do you decide how much practice I need?

We offer courses tailor-made for you with the best possible results. You can decide which course suits your needs by using our intensive driving course guide by reading courses based on skill level below.

Do i have to pay in full for the course?

Yes! When you book an intensive course you will know the full cost of the course and duration before you sit a driving test. Many people have taken a seemingly endless stream of driving lessons with no driving test date in view. Our course helps you budget more realistically.
What if I want to drive as soon as I’m 17?

We do get inquiries from 16 year olds. Unfortunately, you can’t take the Theory Test until your 17th birthday. From then there is likely to be a 2 week wait for a test date, perhaps longer, depending on the test centre. You can’t put in for a test anyway until you have passed your Driving Theory Test.

Our advice is: prior booking a intensive driving course pass your Theory & Hazard test this you can do a home in your own time by purchasing the reading materials and cd/dvd needed to practice, Then book a weekly Intensive driving course. The first-time pass rate is extremely high with this strategy and you will soon be able to take to the open road as if you have been driving for years.
Are there any disadvantages with an Intensive Driving Course?

While not exactly a disadvantage, it must be said that this course does require commitment and a real willingness to pass. If you have an awkward lesson, you get back out on the road the next day – there is not time to ponder on what went wrong during, say, a week’s gap. However, many people find this helpful – rather like getting back on a horse. Our Intensive Courses are designed to be intensive, but not overwhelming. We have found at Udrive driving school that this method of learning yields excellent results.

“I failed my driving test with another driving school after taking 40 hours of driving lessons over several months. After a short break from lessons, I decided to do a 7 day intensive driving course with Drivepass Pro Driving School. The short sharp push from their excellent training program was enough to get me through a driving test in 3 days”.
